African Roots Tour
Fajardo, Puerto Rico Activities
Loiza town is our link with our African roots. Its vibrant music and folklore of their traditions distinguish it from the rest of the world.
We begin our tour in the town square of Loiza, where we will visit the "Plaza de Recreo" and the Catholic Church, which is registered as a National Historic Monument. Then we will continue to the María de la Cruz Cave for several minutes followed by a bicycle ride along the beach Vacia Talega, where will make a stop to refresh ourselves in its clear and calm waters.
To finish our trip we will visit the Piñones Nature Reserve to enjoy a wide variety of lagoon-based species of birds, native trees and mangroves. In Piñones you will find incomparable and exquisite cooking that you’ll never forget.
This tour is 8 hours long, including the transportation time in the excursion van. We provide towels, water, refreshments and a light snack. This activity goes from light walking to medium physical demand.
