Things To Do In Puerto Rico In February

Any time of the year is a great time to visit Puerto Rico. However, with all the wonderful things to do in Puerto Rico in February, right now is a perfect time to getaway. This month is full of excellent activities and events. Come on down today for an action packed month you won’t want to miss. Some of our favorite events are featured here:

Coffee Festivals

Celebrate coffee harvesting season with coffee festivals. February 4th and 5th, check out the festival in Jayuya at the Complejo Deportivo Filiberto Garcia. Enjoy another opportunity to attend a coffee festival February 17 to 19 at Johnny Quinones Stadium. The Fiesta del Acabe del Cafe in Maricao is three days of coffee excitement. You will enjoy barista competitions, music and dancing, artisans, shows and don’t forget lots and lots of coffee!

Off to the Races

Calling all runners! Why wouldn’t you take on a marathon or two while visiting our beautiful island? This month’ Puerto Rico hosts two incredible races. The San Blas Marathon will be held in Coamo on Sunday, February 5 and the World’s Best 10K in San Juan is on February 26. And if running isn’t your thing, you can come on out to watch. You will see some of the world’s elite runners at these races.     

10th Annual Smoking Hot BBQ Competition

There is nothing quite like a BBQ competition. Held February 18 & 19 in San Juan, you will have an entire weekend of BBQ! Enjoy savory samples from those competing to become the next Pit Master. Come hungry, leave full of happiness. Get the details.

Ponce Carnival 2017

The Ponce Carnival is a week-long celebration with parades, costumes music and more. Known as the Mardi Gras of Puerto Rico, the Ponce Carnival started as the final celebration before the beginning of Lent. The celebration runs from February 22 – February 28. Casals Festival
