Humacao Nature Reserve

This reserve has more than six miles trails for walking or biking, and also kayaking thru the interconnected lagoon system. Not too far from this area you can get to the historic place, the bunkers or observatory points that where constructed during the Second World War. Northeast Ecological Corridor Nature Reserve (RNCEN) is an area of outstanding natural and scenic value in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.  The Reserve consists of approximately 3,000 acres of land including beaches San Miguel, La Selva, The Pauline, The Convent and Colorá.

The Northern Karst is a limestone area, which extends from Aguadilla to Loiza.  Among the Northern Karst landscapes you can see, the limestone hills, caves and sinkholes, which are important as ecosystem for flora and fauna.
