Puerto Rico is 995 mi (1,600 km) southeast of Miami, FL. It is made up of several islands. The smaller island of the Greater Antilles, named Puerto Rico, is rectangular in shape and about 100 mi (153 km) long by 35 mi (58 km) wide.
Most major airlines offer excellent and regular connections to Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU), in San Juan. Flights arrive daily from North America and around the world.

After exiting the Airport (Luis Muñóz Marín International) take rd. #26 east - Step 2
When road #26 ends, stay to your left and take route #66 toll road, or if you prefer take route #3 to avoid the toll. If you take route #66 it ends in an intersection with road #3. You will see the Belz Factory Outlets to your right hand side. - Step 3
Turn right on #3 east. Stay on #3 until you get to Fajardo. - Step 4
Once in Fajardo you will see the intersection with road #194 turn left on road #194. - Step 5
While on road #194 you will pass four traffic lights. This road ends with an intersection with no traffic light. This is intersection with road #195(Fajardo Playa). - Step 6
Turn left onto road #195. You will see the Interamerican University to your right and then come to a traffic light, pass the traffic light. - Step 7
Further down the road you will see factories to your left hand side. The last factory has a sign that reads "Master Paint" on your left hand side after seeing this sign, you will see two entrances to your left. - Step 8
Take the second entrance to your left, drive up the hill and you will have made it to the Fajardo Inn Hotel.

Take Highway #53 west, this is a toll road. - Step 2
Pass two tolls, after second toll you will get to the first traffic light. This is intersection with road #194. On this intersection you will see a Shell gas station. - Step 3
On this traffic light turn right onto road #194. You will pass and old sugar mill to your right hand side, after the mill you will see the Justice Department, also on your right hand side. Then you will see another traffic light. This is intersection #195 east (Embarcadero).To your right hand side you will see a power station. - Step 4
Turn right onto #195 east. Further down the road you will see factories to your left hand side. The last factory has a sign that reads "Master Paint" on your left hand side; after seeing this sign you will see two entrances to your left. - Step 5
Take the second entrance to your left, drive up the hill and you will have made it to the Fajardo Inn Hotel.
Your trip's estimated travel time by car, from San Juan to Fajardo is about 45 minutes to an hour.
